Conduct a poll in google meet during video call

For meeting moderators: 

Participants can vote on polls you create as a meeting moderator. A poll results report is automatically email to the moderator following each meeting. Participants’ names and responses include in the report.

Those who schedule or start meetings are the meeting hosts. Transferring or planning a conference on someone else’s calendar could make that person the host. As a default, every session has one host; however, you can invite up to 25 additional hosts once inside a meeting.

Create a poll 

  1. At the bottom right of the meeting, click Activities and then Polls.
  2. Then click Start the poll. 
  3. Then enter your question and add your choices for the survey.
  4. For example:
  • You can post a vote by clicking Launch.
  • If you want to launch it later, click Save.
    • You can view saved polls under Polls during the video call. All ballots are permanently remove following the call. A polling report is emailed to meeting moderators following the meeting.

 Moderate a poll 

  1. In a meeting, click Activities > Polls in the lower right.
  2. To see the poll results, click Switch next to “Show everyone the results”.
  3. The poll can be close without allowing responses by clicking End the poll.                                        
  4. The Vote will be permanently removed from your list of polls when you click Delete. You cannot view deleted polls. 

View a poll report

A report is emailed to the moderator following every meeting where a poll was conducted. Included are the names of those who participated and their answers. 

  1. Open the email with the poll results.
  2. Open the attached report.

For meeting participants: 

You can participate in a poll as a meeting participant. 

You will be notified when a poll is started in the meeting. Please respond before the survey ends or the session ends. 

  1.  Click Polls at the bottom right of a meeting.
  2. Choose your answer and click Vote.
  3. You cannot change your response after you click Vote.
